2023 Health Net Medicare Supplement Update

As we welcome the new year, Health Net is pleased to provide the following updates to the 2023 Health Net Medicare Supplement product!

The 2023 rates for their California Individual Medicare Supplement plans were recently approved by the California Department of Insurance (CDI). Heath Net filed an average blended increase range between 5 - 8.0% with an overall rate impact of 5.060% across all CA plans and age brackets for smoking and non-smoking rates. The updated rates will start March 1, 2023, and continue through February 28, 2024.

What's New In 2023

• New applicants with effective dates of 03/01/2023 and thereafter will be charged the new non-smoking or smoking premium rate
• Buy-up package available: 

• Optional Standard PPO Dental Plan (OSPD), $19

• Buy-up packages no longer available:

• Optional Package 1: Hearing, Standard PPO Dental & Vision,  $29
• Optional Package 2: Hearing, Enhanced PPO Dental & Vision, $43

Note:  Members enrolled in either Optional Package 1 or 2 prior to 10/7/2021 are able to keep their existing benefits.

Health Net's Innovative Plan Offerings!

Innovative Plan G and Innovative Plan F include the products listed below as core benefits:

• Routine Hearing Exam - One Hearing Exam every 12 months
• Hearing Aid(s) - Includes fitting evaluation.  Hearing aid cost shares are based on technology levels
• Routine Eye Exam - One Vision Exam every 12 months
• Eyewear - Up to $250 allowance for frame and lens package once every 24 months or contact lens once every 12 months
• Chiropractic/Acupuncture - $0 copay/20 visits combined (Innovative Plan G only)
• Age Band Structure with Los Angeles and San Diego zip codes split into multiple regions (Innovative Plan G only)

New to Part B Discount

The New to Part B monthly premium discount continues to be $30. Members who enroll in any Health Net Medicare Supplement plan within 6 months of their Part B effective date qualify for the discount for the first 12 months of enrollment.

Medicare Supplement Broker Bonus Promotion!

Health Net contracted brokers submitting a Health Net Medicare Supplement application (fax and on-line) will earn an additional $175 for each application resulting in a new member enrollment!

Terms and Conditions:
This promotion pertains to applications for a new Health Net Medicare Supplement enrollee.
Plan transfers for existing Health Net members are excluded.
Brokers that qualify will be paid monthly after the applicant becomes effective.
