Co-Pay Waiver Extension for Individual, Group Medicare, MA, and MAPD
On Tuesday, May 5th, Humana issued a Press Release regarding important changes impacting members.
Specifically, effective May 1, 2020, Humana is waiving Medicare Advantage out-of-pocket costs – copays, coinsurance and deductibles – for primary care, behavioral health (on an outpatient, non-facility basis) and telehealth visits with participating/in-network providers through the end of 2020. These changes are part of Humana’s Human Care Approach to making the healthcare experience better, more personal and more caring by enhancing members’ access to care without a further financial burden.
What is Next?
- Members will receive a letter regarding their change of benefits.
- Humana will re-process claims for members that have already paid out-of-pocket for in-network primary care, behavioral health, and telehealth visits dating back to May 1st.
- Safety Kits, including two (2) washable face masks, will be sent out to Humana members later this month through early summer with the exception of our PDP members.
