Important Information About Humana Renewals

In order to continue to be paid for renewals with Humana, you must complete your recertification by November 30, 2022.

For more information on certification and recertification, please see below.

As of Tuesday, June 28th at 12 PM EST, Humana Certification and Recertification options are open!

Deadlines:
Initial Certification will remain open until next summer.
Recertification Deadline:
November 30th, 2022

General Details:
Whether you’re certifying for the first time or recertifying for the 10th, you’ll need to complete both Humana-specific training and AHIP or NAHU. You will have 6 attempts to pass either the AHIP or NAHU test but may only take one of the two options. The AHIP test requires a 90% to pass, and NAHU requires an 85% to pass. Exclusive Partner agents will also have a new way to meet the CMS training requirement via Humana’s own CMS-required training. Agents will be provided details about all their new training options when they enroll in their PY23 Certification or Recertification course in Humana MarketPoint University (HMU).

Note: Humana's Spanish version will be delayed until after the June 28th launch. Look for additional communications on the Spanish version.

Certification-only: Agents who complete the 2023 Initial Certification are allowed to sell plans with 2022 effective dates through 11/30/2022. Remember, all agents must complete all of Certification prior to selling Humana’s Medicare Advantage or PDP products.
