As Wellcare prepares for the 2023 Annual Enrollment Period season, beginning July 1, 2022, there will be a temporary blackout for new broker contracting and certification training. Please see the table below that outlines what will be unavailable.

Wellcare wants to remind you of an upcoming change to the Special Population (SPOP) & Medicaid Verification Call Center Hours of Operation. Effective July 1, 2022, the SPOP Call Center Hours of Operation will change to 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM EST. The SPOP Call Center assists with required Medicaid beneficiary eligibility verification for enrollment in Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (CSNP) and Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plans (DSNP).

Medicaid Verification with the Ascend Platform
The Ascend platform provides a fast and accurate method for submitting applications. You can use the Ascend platform for application submission and automated Medicaid verification capability. Use of Ascend for application submission does not require pre-verification through the SPOP Call Center.
