Connect For Health Colorado: Some Customers Received a Notice Not Meant for Them
Connect For Health Colorado has an update for your clients who may have gotten this notice incorrectly.
Summary
On July 14 and 15, Connect for Health Colorado shared information about an estimated 240,000 old, inactive customer accounts that are set to expire on Aug. 4 (see page 2 for details). They sent affected customers the content of the “Customer Notice” (see pages 2-3).
However, they recently discovered that the message was also erroneously sent to additional customers who should not have received it, causing some confusion.
Background
Connect for Health Colorado correctly sent the content of the Customer Notice (see pages 2 and 3) to the affected accounts, but they also erroneously sent it to some customers who have a current enrollment. The Broker team at Connect for Health Colorado helped identify this mistake.
Impacts to Customers
Customers with a current enrollment do not need to take any action. They received this notice in error.
Resources
See pages 2 and 3 below for the original information about customers’ accounts expiring and the content of the notice we sent to customers. That information is still correct and has not changed.
