Health Alliance Illinois Short-Term Rate Change Effective March 1

On March 1, 2023, premium rates will increase for Health Alliance's PPO and POS Short-Term plans for the first time in over three years. This premium rate increase does not impact any of your Short-Term clients who are enrolled or will be enrolled prior to the March 1 effective date.

When quoting a client who wants to enroll in a Short-Term plan prior to March 1, brokers should use the IL Individual Short-Term Sales Kit, effective through 2/28/2023. Brokers quoting Short-Term plans effective on or after March 1 should use the IL Individual Short-Term Sales Kit, effective 3/1/2023. Both sales kits are available within the Forms & Resources page on our Broker Portal. The method of submitting enrollments is the same for both before and after March 1.

As a reminder on March 1 and after, brokers are to dispose of all IL Individual Short-Term sales kits that show premium rates expiring on February 28 (indicated by the form name ind-shorttermsaleskit-0119 in the bottom-right corner of the first page). The Healthalliance.org/Short-Term-Plans page has a quoting tool now updated with the rates effective on March 1.
