Consumers can enroll in a Covered California health plan or change their current plan only during Open Enrollment unless they experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE)— this is called a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). During this period, Certified Enrollers may assist all consumers eligible for a Special Enrollment; they do not have the ability to complete new or in-progress applications without a defined Qualifying Life Event.
Please be advised that a state of emergency was declared, impacting individuals in certain TX counties. This declaration allows for a one-time Special Enrollment Period (SEP), in the event beneficiaries were unable to make an election during another qualifying election period. Please reference the following guidelines for the incident period. This SEP applies only to the Texas counties listed below.
While the Epic Tapestry system, which is replacing Health Alliance's claims and customer service platform, is functioning well, they want to acknowledge that their conversion created challenges for their members, groups and agents. Health Alliance's billing, ID card and portal issues were not what was expected with this transition, and Health Alliance apologizes for the frustration it has caused.

Rates for Americo's Multi-Year Guaranteed Annuity, Platinum Assure Series, will change effective February 1, 2023. To lock in the current rates, applications must be received in the Home Office by January 31, 2023, 5:00 PM Central. All funds on applications received by the end of day on January 31, 2023, must be received in the Home Office by March 17, 2023, 5:00 PM, Central, to receive the current rate.
