Ambetter Health Exiting New Mexico Marketplace for Plan Year 2025

For plan year 2025, Ambetter from Western Sky Community Care will not offer health insurance coverage on BeWell, the New Mexico Health Insurance Marketplace. Ambetter from Western Sky Community Care members will remain covered under their current plans until December 31, 2024, when their policies expire. 

It is important members continue making their premium payments to keep their coverage active and have access to health services and benefits through the end of the year. Impacted members have received a communication from Ambetter from Western Sky Community Care with information about the New Mexico Marketplace exit.

BeWell, the New Mexico Health Insurance Marketplace, will send Ambetter from Western Sky Community Care members a renewal letter before Open Enrollment starts on November 1, 2024. During open enrollment, your clients can shop for a plan on www.bewellnm.com.

If they do not select a plan by December 31, 2024, BeWell will enroll them in a similar plan with a different carrier for 2025, so they don’t have a gap in coverage.
