Select 2024 Wellcare plans will now include the Wellcare Spendables Card. This program replaces the previous Flex Card benefit program and will be offered across all states.

Starting January 2024, Aetna Medicare will offer a new high value provider bonus to eligible members on select plans in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi!

When eligible members select a qualifying high value provider as their primary care provider (PCP), members will receive increased funds on their Extra Benefits Card at a frequency of monthly (for D-SNP and LIS plans) or quarterly (other MA/MAPD plans). Cigna Healthcare's Medicare Advantage has finalized their plans and made them available for viewing! Additionally they have an update to their Medicare Retail Program!

This is an important announcement for agents with customers in California, Colorado, Georgia, Louisianna, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Tennessee and for those with business in those states. The counties below are under a federal or state designated Special Election Period (SEP) due to an emergency.

Please note: A disaster SEP application is only valid while the SEP declaration is in effect. If an end date is not listed below, please refer to Cigna's Ongoing SEP tracker in Producers’ University for the most up-to-date information. Any SEP applications submitted outside of that SEP’s declaration date will be rejected. 

In 2024, Aetna Extra Benefits Card Members will have “wallets” that hold allowances for their spending options. Wallet allowances on D-SNP plans are monthly with roll over, and on Value Plus (LIS) plans are quarterly without roll over.

Aetna now offers guaranteed acceptance to qualifying applicants for their Protection SeriesSM Hospital Indemnity Flex plans in eight additional states: Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, South Carolina, and Washington. These additions bring the total to 35 states where guaranteed acceptance is available for this product.
